H.F.M
i barely gave it a thought if u asked me jz this morning.everything was fine.we went to Kampachi and had the Japanese buffet,and we all ate...1st,2nd,3rd helpings and all.Nicolas,my 2 year old cousin,was hungry..and in rare occasions he will choose to eat over playing with his bag of Power Rangers toys.We asked him if he wanted to eat a tempura prawn,he nods happily and says yes.he takes it and puts into his mouth.but he took it out.his face was screwed up and he poked his tongue out,indicating that smth was hurting him.We thought it was his teeth or gums that were hurting him.and then we saw a small ulcer-like spot on his tongue.'he must be heaty',that was all we had in mind.he sat there and played the whole time,eating nth except ice-cream while we feast mindlessly.someone spotted smth red on the sole of his feet.Still,it did not really cross our minds.
after lunch we head over to Island Plaza,having nth much to do in mind,perhaps jz hanging around.All of us (the whole family) hung around Starbucks,buying drinks and discussing about last night's World Cup match where my beloved team,England lost with dignity until it suddenly struck my aunt (nicolas' mum).The teacher at his kindy did warn her about HFM,saying that a kid at the kindy had had it too and it can be spread among kids.HFM,btw,is HAND FOOT MOUTH DISEASE.My heart gave a huge leapt.hand foot mouth disease???But maybe it's not.We need to get him to a doctor.
They took him straight to the hospital.Me,sis and my cousin had to go home first cuz sis wasn't feeling too well cuz of the 'monthly matters'.It's now 8.07 at night,and there's only the 3 of us at home.Dad called back and confirmed our fears.Nicolas really has HFM.but it's the EARLY stage.So the chance of recovery is very high.He will have to be admitted at the hospital for a night or so for observation.Sis hung up and tells us that the 3 of us will be having dinner alone without them.
I asked her, 'It's not serious,right?' "It's the early stage.But still,jz pray hard,no matter what God you believe in." I jz nodded.
I just can't help but worry.I am afraid.It may not be very serious,but i'm still afraid.It's still a disease and it's bad.I dun like the sound of it.I dun want anything bad to happen to our Nicolas boy,serious or not-so-serious.I just want him to be well.

i think i now have 1.2..3..4..5 ulcers and 1 very inflamed gum in my mouth right now....and gawd,do they hurt when i eat...every bite hurts....and the worst thing of all,HFM doesn't cause a loss of appetite.so conclusion :
hungry=pain=cannot eat=pain=hungry
and also,i have about 10 lil' weird reddish/pinkish dots on my hands...
skipped school for the day...the only good thing that HFM has ever brought to me....haihz.

Divine_Reverie : hehe,dun mean to be mean...!btw,for those who wished me well after i gt infected by HFM,i would like to announce now that I'm fine already!except for a few more ulcers,but they're nt very painful anymore..so i've started to eat as usual already.mum and dad somehow said i became thinner after HFM.i wonder if it was meant sarcastically or sincerely. Well,anyway,i'm glad i'm well!

It's a wonder smths how creative these ppl can get in the chinese music industry smths.Nowadays,the names John,Andy,Jacky,Anita,or Michelle just won't work anymore...now one of the main steps to get urself noticed in the chinese music scene is a name. let me brief you thru a few examples :
1.Just look above you'll get someone who had himself named after a vehicle :- VAN Fan Yi Chen
2.Okay,who has a baby for a face and an unproportional body for a body?Look over to Korea and you'll get....*drum rolls* :- RAIN Bi.Tell me about the weather man.(and of all names to get after that,he has to get one that defines his sexual status)
3.Aah,and then his wet name gave someone an inspiration!!since he's oh so cute,oh so blah,why not name myself his verb then!and then you have this diabetic-&-vomit-inducing lil' female singer named :- Rainie Yang
4.Talking abt rain,we even have Sun too!! :- Sun He Yao Shan!
5.and what about numbers??I think i've heard of some Korean guy called Sev7n rite?? Eh,where's ei8ht??and n9ne??
5.And this guy,eww,his name already told me he's a showy person :- Show Luo (and let's nt mention that his chinese nickname is xiao zhu which means lil' pig.i dunno y.)
6.What about describing yourself in your own name??This guy called Deep Ng,mann...i can already tell how shallow ur brains are jz by your 'deep' name!
7.Love the sea?and your chinese name happens to have the word too?Why not call yourself Ocean!Just like what Ocean Ou De Yang did.Eh,Ocean,where's your brother Sea?Or your sister Lake?I haven't seen your father River for quite a long time too!
8.And not only solo singers!!Ever heard of the taiwanese boyband Energy?Okay,ignore the lame band name,but it also has a member (ex??) called Milk!ooh...milk!Ah Niu!!say hie to your product!

12.And not only noun-names are in fashion!!this is a tip to those chinese wannabe singers,can't find a proper english name to fit urself?Why,just follow however your chinese name sounds like!!Huh?okok,let me explain.okay,have you ever heard of this chinese female singer called Wen Lan who duetted with Jacky Wu/Jay Chou in a song called Wu Ding?I wonder if you know her name is Landy.Get wat i mean?
Wen Lan =Landy..! how convenient!So,okay,if my name is..let's say...Tan Man Man (which is btw,already a lame name)..so my english name should be called Manny!!aahh,perfect!.not.
13.And another example of that,hv u ever heard of this singer Huang Yi Da??surprise,surprise!his 'english' name is Yida!!~who would've guessed!
14.Hmm,what about Mr Lei Hak Kan? (Lee Ke Qun) from Hong Kong?? (who had to annoy us with all his football-related songs)..what a surprise!!his english name is Hacken Lee!!yes,mr,we noe u're very hackened,jz by the sight of u!
15.And let's move on to his friend instead,who would be coming down to Malaysia and suck up all the money from the ppl here...!let's welcom mr Chan Yik Sun (Chen Yi Xun)!With his english name,Eason Chen!
16.Oh,and let's come back a lil' nearer to Malaysia,in Malaysia!We have...Zhang Zhi Cheng..the lame guy whose nickname is 'the little prince of R&B'...english name??Z-Chen plz.
17.And then we have Cheng Yi Kin,the chinese HK singer/actor with his english name...Ekin.Haihz.
18.Okay,not only singers use this tactic,but have u heard of this chinese tvb actress called Yuen Keng Dan?(for a hint : she's the one who plays Ah Keng in A Kindred Spirit..and it's ok if u dun watch that series.It's ancient anyway).Guess what her english name is!!Yes,yes!Kingdom Yuen!! who would've gotten her a better english name!!??brilliant!
19.Going back about in the 1970's or 60's?Or even 50's??You'll get this chinese actress called Lee Li Li...so if she ever has an english name,i wouldn't be very surprised if it's Lily!!So,ok,my name is Lily,Lee Li Li!!
20.okay,wait...jz one remarkable name in the english industry instead...u noe the girl that plays Monica in the tv series Friends?Her real name is Courteney Cox,and nw she's married to a guy whose surname is Arquette.they have a daughter called Coco Arquette.ok,nth wrong with that.Okay,what if one day,(plz forgive me for saying this),they decide to divorce and Coco follows Courteney,and Mr Arquette has done smth so bad to her that she wants his surname removed from Coco,and instead follow her surname...and what will that come to in the end?hmm...so Coco's new name would be...Coco Cox!(coco pops's rival!)
Okay,if i continue,this list will go on and on and on,becuz ppl nowadays won't take the usual decent names anymore...and with this,i will like to tell all the wannabe-chinese singers out there,surprise me by ur english name!i'm still waiting for Flower Chen,Table Ng and Water Lin!and of course,i won't mind Toilet Cheung too!~and now just one more and i'm outta here...:
20.alrite,i'm sure u've heard of the Malaysian singer,Liang Jing Ru?and the new taiwanese David Tao/Jay Chou wannabe,Tank?hmm..what if one day they decide to get together and form a duo,jz like mr Kangta and Vaness did?No,no...they won't have to worry abt what name to get for their duo group...cuz...

ok,it seems like 10 days have passed without any updates around here at all...the reason/s??
1.I don't have much time these days,although i've done nth much still.(eh?)
2.And even when i do have the time to blog,i feel guilty cuz i dun have any new translation updates to post....geez.u guys must be furious wif me.
3.argh,i hate it when tests are coming.and i haven't studied.ishhh..!
4.i have to do translations for the english MIFC site due this 30th august!!for the b'day boy!

with who??,u ask??guiltily,i have to say that i found smth so interesting that its wallpaper temporarily (altho i dunno how long it'd last) replaced the usual guang liang pics on my desktop....and what can it be that could actually REPLACE guang liang on my desktop????

YES!YES!!I loveeeee Cho Hakkai now!!although he's fictional and cute,and good,and mysterious,and depressing,and good-looking,and tall and japanese,he's just too irresistable!(and i hate it when i have to say that.i make myself sound....ahem.)but stilll!!his story is so sad......he is one of the characters of a japanese anime/manga (which means - Anime =animation/Manga = Mango comic book) called Saiyuki,which actually is veryyy loosely based on the chinese tale of Journey to the West.everyone in this anime is funny,including Sanzo (the monk who smokes,drinks and has a gun),Goyjo (a cockroach-looking and kappa-ish womanizer),and Goku (a constanly famined monkey-boy).I used to dislike Japanese 'anime' and all...but that was b4 i read Saiyuki and Naruto (altho i'm very much preferring Saiyuki still),but now,it looks like i could like almost everything that's interesting.People change,i suppose.and it wouldn't hurt if it's for a better cause,ain't it??hehehe.but btw,i still have maths homework lying right in front of me.Bakaaa!!!

okkkk...i know it's weird to suddenly fall for some anime character.
but hey guys,it's temporary.okay?once i've finished watching the whole series,i might be as well over with it.(but once season 4 arrives....>.
and one of the reasons i'm attracted to this fella suddenly is becuz i smths see guang liang in him....he has dark hair,long long beautiful fingers....and a sad past..although i dun think guang liang really has one as bad as Hakkai,but smths he jz looks so sad too.anyway,GUANG LIANG is GUANG LIANG,and HAKKAI is HAKKAI.overall,guang liang is still my number 1,k???and anyway,crap,he's only a fictional character!!i dun see how he can replace michael in my heart in any way.

I have loads of those bad times.Some of those were mild,some of those were distressing,some of it depressing,and some of it were terrible.no,no...i dun have it right now,but i did on Saturday when I had my lil' haricut.I hate when all this pain i'm feeling is actually self-inflicted.no one is directly comparing me to someone,but it's just me who's doing all the stupid thinking.and i hate it when i can take it up so badly,and just forget about it after a while.And when it returns,it turns out the same.It's like a wound etched painfully upon my skin,but it somehow heals as quickly as it comes,making it both painful and frustrating.after a long time,it leaves a scar that refuses to leave.why do i give a damn if i'm not the same?do i have to be the same?so what if i'm less outgoing,less pretty,less fashionable,and less-worrisome?I dun like missing out,i dun like being compared,i dun like feeling sad,i dun like feeling like i'm already losing out,both to the olders,and now the younger.I dun want being the one missing out,i dun like it if she gets her turn first.I need attention,i have come to terms with that,but it seems like it's not coming the right way.Why do they worry about stupid things,when there's a bigger picture visible beyond that?or perhaps it's not visible,not to them,that's what.
